Buffalo's first hospital has a legacy of care for women since founded in 1848 by six Daughters of Charity. Today, women comprise 70% of the patients at Sisters Hospital through all phases of life. The M. Steven Piver M.D. Center for Women’s Health & Wellness locates all outpatient women’s services in a comprehensive, holistic, patient-centered setting. Clinical Services include breast care, gynecological oncology, outpatient chemotherapy, obstetrics, the treatment of infertility and eating disorders. Diagnostic services include mammography, bone densitometry, cardiac and lab. Educational and community outreach services are offered at the newly-created St. Elizabeth Renewal Center to revitalize and rejuvenate the spirit, including massage therapy, skin care, body treatments and other spa services. Spiritual counseling is also provided. The Piver Center, inspired by the lifetime of clinical care provided to thousands of women by M. Steven Piver, M.D., is possible through the generosity of a leadership gift given in Dr. Piver’s honor by Mr. & Mrs. Frank Perrella. We are most grateful for their generosity and for sharing in our vision. Photos from the Piver Center grand opening!
